With his latest project, Examine.com, Sol was recognized by Fast Company as a Top 10 innovative company in health and fitness in 2015. Men’s Fitness has called him a Game Changer in 2014 (along with names like Stephen Colbert and Pharrell). Examine.com has got him on the advisory board of a certain Arnold Schwarzenegger, and also interviewed on Forbes.

What does it take to create such a successful crowdfunding campaign? Dan Blumer will share the journey, learnings and challenges as they launched their crowdfunding campaign on November 9th 2015, and 60 days later they became the largest Canadian crowdfunding campaign of all time raising over 2.5 Million USD on Kickstarter.
Dan Blumer completed his Queens MBA in 2013, while simultaneously working as an investment advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy. In early 2014, he left his job to pursue the “startup life” with Revol Technologies in order to bring custom- fit earphones to the masses. In July, his company was one of only 15 accepted into the HAX Hardware Accelerator program where he and his team spent 111 days working in Shenzhen, China, optimizing the technology and the product. In March 2017, 11,000+ pre-ordered units will be delivered into the hands of their earliest supporters from around the world.

She transformed her thesis project into the company’s first product, The Empathy Toy. Originally designed for the visually impaired students and their sighted classmates. It is now used as a tool to teach Empathy to anyone and is already in over 1000+ schools, homes and offices in 45 countries.
