Having endured multiple lockdowns since COVID-19 hit in March 2020, Canadians seem to have become accustomed to the convenience and ease of shopping from the comfort of their own home. \u201cCustomers\u2019 expectations have absolutely increased over the past two years,\u201d said Laura Carinci, Head of Brand Marketing and Partnerships at\u00a0Jenny Bird<\/a>\u00a0during a recent roundtable discussion about\u00a0The Future of Omnichannel<\/a>. \u201cCustomers are at home, and they\u2019re on mobile apps on their phones or tablets. Recent statistics demonstrate how Canadians\u2019 online shopping habits are shifting. According to Statista, in early 2022\u00a0Canadian eCommerce retail sales amounted to $3 billion per month<\/a>, with\u00a029 million Canadians expected to make online purchases by the end of the year<\/a>. 2. eCommerce is here to stay<\/strong><\/h3>\n
