Online Store Is Giving A New Life To Old Furniture

“Thrifted and Found Furniture Given Another Look” is the aptly named motto of Another Look Refinished Furniture. Seeking to provide vintage furniture with a new home; store owner Tobi’s mission is to repair and refinish furniture to a newly beautiful state that she can then resell. Getting her start on Facebook Marketplace, Tobi quickly found that she’d hit her ceiling. Looking to grow Another Look Refinished Furniture further, she sought out a means to create her own online store. “I have gone from thinking of my hobby as a ‘side hustle’ to recognizing it as a ‘small business’ which I’m very proud to call it so.”

That’s when Tobi found the ShopHERE Program which aims to provide business owners with the tools and resources they need in order to get their store online. This is done through creating websites and teaching business owners how to manage them, teaching them marketing tips and tricks, and answering any other online related questions they may have! Through this program Tobi was able to start her new website on the Shopify platform. Tobi was able to gain access to her own online store that she, along with her eCommerce Coordinator Aman, could design to her needs and aesthetic. The resources and training videos also provided by ShopHERE allowed her to jump right into the website management and marketing process.

“Without this program, I would definitely have a more difficult time reaching potential customers.”

When it came to working on her site Tobi says, “the process was not complicated. It required me to do research and to understand what platform would be best for me. Once that was done, my eCommerce Coordinator, Aman, was efficient at getting things set up.” Tobi had a great time working with her Coordinator, saying that:

“Aman was so helpful when it came to making changes. She was punctual, pleasant, and patient. She was able to answer my questions, and I didn’t feel silly asking them.”

The biggest piece of advice that Tobi can offer other business owners is “get online. Make it easy for your customers to buy from you. It can be as easy as a click.” At this point, the only foreseeable problem Tobi could think of is too many people purchasing her items! “ShopHERE taught me how to link my Facebook and Instagram to my website which makes things much easier for my customers to purchase my items!”
