Making It Easy To Add A Splash Of Art, And Colour Into Your Life
Bit’s Bauble Shop is a remarkable brand that was founded by Ashley Elizabeth in November of 2020. This Niagara-based small business is making a big impact by creating bespoke gifts and accessories that are designed and crafted from recycled, repurposed and locally sourced materials whenever possible.
It all began when Ashley gifted a few of her closest friends and family a few one-of-a-kind pieces and received positive feedback. With an abundance of hobbies and interest and a little feedback from her friends Ashley began selling her artwork in order keep her busy though the COVID-19 pandemic. Fast forward six months, two lockdowns and countless setbacks – Ashley’s website has officially launched!
Bit’s Bauble Shop prides themselves on three core values. Handcrafted, Bespoke and Unexpected. Each piece is thoughtfully made by Ashley, a crafty Canadian cat lover and packaged with a whole lot of care and love. All products in their shop are conceptualized, designed, crafted, photographed, and packaged by the Canadian crafter working toward an eco-friendlier existence in the world.
Ontario's lockdown has complicated things immensely for small businesses and Ashley found herself impacted by the lack of in-person markets. However, once she joined the ShopHERE Powered By Google Program, her journey started to change and with her input and branding vision in mind Ashley was able to get her online shop up and running.
The ShopHERE Program was an enjoyable experience for Ashley with her eCommerce Coordinator Lindsay making every step of the process as easy as possible. “It could have easily become overwhelming but she showed me how to create and modify products, collections, and the many intricate details that go into the visuals and theme.” Lindsay diligently reviewed her site and offered her eCommerce expertise to improve the website and provide tips on product photography and copywriting.
“My coordinator Lindsay was knowledgeable and professional when it came to setting everything up and answering my questions. She boosted my confidence and showed me that I could achieve exactly what I wanted!”
Ashley recommends others to sign up for the ShopHERE Program because “the program is incredibly helpful for small businesses during the pandemic as it offers lots of support and assistance while still allowing you to maintain full control of your branding and your business.” Since getting her online store launched she’s been able to grow her network and social platform, and she’s become more confident with speaking about her own business and her brand.
“Even if it seems like growth is moving slowly, don't give up!! You have to start somewhere, and your only competition is yourself. No one else's stats/growth matter.”
