One-of-a-Kind Designs Brought to Life on Your Shoes
Jamone Munda is the owner of Custom Kicks T.O, a business creating one-of-a-kind designs on shoes in Mississauga, Ontario. Jamone, also known by their artist name “Bones Baby,” started his business in 2020. He practiced on his own shoes for about a month before he started taking orders. Now, Custom Kicks T.O is the #1 shoe customizer in Toronto.
“In January of 2020, right when COVID-19 hit, I knew that I would need a new business idea to sustain me through the lockdown.”
Jamone has a background in art and design and has a love for fashion, so he decided to blend the two. By the second month of customizing shoes, he knew he was ready to create a page, post a few designs, and take orders.
In just under 2 years, Jamone has customized over 300 pairs of shoes and they are set to open their first physical location in January 2023. From Buzz Lightyear to paint splatter to completely unique designs, Custom Kicks T.O has something for any sneakerhead. You provide the shoes and Custom Kicks T.O will provide the perfect design for you.
In order to bring Custom Kicks T.O online, Jamone signed up for the ShopHERE powered by Google program to assist him in developing a website.
Jamone was paired with an eCommerce Coordinator to help build the website and teach him how to manage it on his own. Once the first iteration was complete, Jamone gave his suggestions and ideas, and his eCommerce Coordinator swiftly implemented them.
Jamone’s eCommerce Coordinator walked him through everything from setting up the website, adding products and photos, and managing his orders. Through this process, he feels confident running his online business and making any changes to his website as his business continues to grow.
“The ShopHERE program is a great option for entrepreneurs. Starting a business can be tricky and extensive so I think having a Coordinator that handles basically everything for you can take a lot off of your to do list.”
Jamone found the process very easy and straightforward overall, and loved having assistance from his Coordinator.
