Rowena Dumada-ug is the passionate, creative mind and heart behind the unique designs of Kraftika Kreations, based in Toronto, Ontario. Rowena has a background in the fashion industry and a passion for high-end fashion.  Together she has applied these topics to establish her business. Kraftina Kreations was created to bring joy into people's lives through Rowena’s handiwork, and she is proud that each and every creation she sells was made with love and comes from the heart. 

Kraftina Kreations sells scrunchies, which for some is an everyday necessity. However, these are no ordinary everyday scrunchies but rather designs of the most vibrant colours and embrace good quality fabrics. These scrunchies are so incredibly cute and give a statement to your hair. Wear them every day, to work out, for self-care routines, and at home in bed. 

Rowena’s journey began when she became ill working in a toxic workplace. She was suffering from major depression and anxiety. Her doctor put her on medical leave which lasted several months. However, she is a survivor! She then drew upon her many talents from the bridal industry to develop creations that were different. Scrunchies! 

As part of her journey, Rowena joined the ShopHERE powered by Google program and was able to access free resources to assist with building an online store in order to share her products with all of Canada. 

As a part of the ShopHERE powered by Google program, Rowena was partnered with Chika, an eCommerce Coordinator to brainstorm ideas and receive accessible and timely assistance in building their new website. At the beginning of the process Rowena felt lost,  but, with each meeting she took notes and asked questions. Chika patiently explained the nuts and bolts of creating an online business – and everything fell into place.  

Rowena said working with Chika on her online project was amazing! 

“She was very personable. We work hand in hand to finished my store. I felt comfortable talking with. I always looked forward every Monday to chat with her. Very positive person. She presented the material in an easy way to understand. She was personable, which made learning easier. She taught me a great deal of information that was helpful.” 

In the end, she felt her website was presented as a “complete picture of her satisfaction.”
