Turning Anxiety Into Creativity
My Delusional Designs was created after owner Stacey Broad began creating handmade items as an outlet to help her deal with the overwhelming feelings of anxiety and depression that she was experiencing at the time. It took Stacey by surprise when she found that others were not only interested in her work, but that they were willing to purchase her items. Her entrepreneurial journey soon led her to the ShopHERE powered by Google program who helped her with the setup of an online store. Stacey is proud to say that she is,
“…now optimistic about my future as a small business owner and my ability to sell my products online.”
My Delusional Designs is located in Burlington, Ontario and features a wide variety of handmade products on the website. Such items as wallets, lanterns, key fobs, zipper pulls, earphone holders are only just a sample of the collections featured on the website. Stacey’s products include bright designs, and unique patterns that capture pop culture and popular themes for every audience.
Stacey’s ShopHERE journey was made simple with the help of her eCommerce Coordinator. Her Coordinator listened to all of her feedback and suggestions and assisted in making Stacey’s dream website come to life, by designing it to meet every specification that she required during the process.
Now, with the knowledge, resources and tools to move forward. Stacey feels that the ShopHERE powered by Google program,
“…has been amazing as it has allowed me to concentrate more on the creative process, while at the same time developing a website that I can be proud of. I have learned so much with regards to its setup and marketing. I highly recommend this program!!!”
Since launching her online store through the ShopHERE program, she has begun to market her website in order to capture a new audience and expand her customer base. Although marketing might be a new adventure for Stacey she feels that if she works hard to market her product she will be successful. After attending the Marketing Webinars that are hosted by the ShopHERE program, Stacey felt that,
“…the workshops are a wealth of information that filled in a lot of gaps and questions that I had.”
Now Stacey feels that since completing the ShopHERE Program she is optimistic about her future as a small business owner and my ability to sell my products online.”
Her advice to all small business owners out there is to,
“Don’t give up!!! The hard work will pay off as long as you have confidence in yourself and your product(s).”
