As part of their journey, owner Gary joined the ShopHERE powered by Google program and was able to access free resources to assist with building an online store in order to share his products with all of Canada.
As a part of the ShopHERE powered by Google program, Gary was partnered with Mayank, an eCommerce Coordinator to brainstorm ideas and receive accessible and timely assistance in building their new website. At the beginning of the process, Gary’s goal was to build a solid database of new and existing customers with a new Shopify website while also keeping loyal to their brand throughout the process.
Gary said it was a pleasure working alongside Mayank on his online project throughout the ShopHERE experience. With all of the training and support his eCommerce Coordinator was able to provide, he feels confident that his family will be able to manage their store independently moving forward.
“Our e-commerce Coordinator Mayank did a fantastic job, teaching us, being extremely patient with us, very knowledgeable, and always willing to advise and offer support to us. The process went extremely well from the training and learning videos, to fantastic online assistance by our coordinator Mayank right through to the graduation process.”
In the end, Gary felt his company’s website was built “way better than their expectations.” Their website is complete with all the necessary policies such as a privacy policy, terms of service, shipping policy, refund policy and FAQ’s. The homepage also clearly showcases their various wallpaper and wall mural collections and how to contact the business with specific questions.
Now having reflected on their time in the ShopHERE program , Gary and his family say the program “was amazing to be part of.”
“For us having no previous experience in e-commerce, we learnt through our training with our eCommerce coordinator Mayank on how to build and manage a Shopify store. Our store is now live, and we grateful that we had our first of many sales.”
After launching their website, Wallpaper and Wall Murals 4 All feel more independent since they now own and manage their own online store. With this change, Gary and his family are hopeful that with their new online presence – their business will become financially life-changing for them.
The owners of Wallpaper and Wall Murals 4 All want fellow small business owners to know that the ShopHERE program is an amazing opportunity for any business owner wanting to build an online presence.
“If a small business is struggling to make ends meet, the ShopHERE Program is an awesome opportunity for them to get into business with a minimal amount of capital whether it is for drop shipping model, or holding your own stock and expediting yourself.”
