Digital Main Street Takes Café’s Online Presence to the Next Level
Society Café had already experienced a serious “hit to the business” within its first few years of operations when a car came crashing into their building in 2019, putting an enormous hole in the wall of their Café – just days after opening. Talk about an unexpected impact on operations! With Society Café now back on their feet, they felt it was time to develop their digital presence with the integration of a new website, updates to social media platforms, and a new focus on SEO optimization.
The café is located in the heart of London, Ontario, and this is a core component of their value proposition. Emphasizing community connectivity, such as the close proximity to Blackfriars Bridge and Thames Valley Parkway, was essential to keep in mind when developing the new website and its respective content. The Transformation Team was able to develop a website focused on informing new customers of what Society Café is all about – in addition to providing new and current customers with the opportunity to purchase home brewing accessories and much more from one convenient location.
In terms of social media, Society Café already had a grasp on Facebook and Instagram – but wanted to refine their interactions and to create a presence on new platforms, such as the ever-growing TikTok. With this in mind, the team provided a series of guides to aid in the maintenance of this wide array of platforms.
Lastly, Society Café felt that their consumers may have a hard time finding them when searching for Cafés in their area. To combat this concern and gain incrementally more engagement for the café, the team developed a series of keywords to include when generating their content to improve their Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The team also provided a Google Ads guide that explains how best to work with Google ad credits in order to get Society Café’s brand closer to the top search results.
Rob Dore, the owner, has already done a great job of setting Society Café up for success with how he has structured their digital identity – with the help provided by Digital Main Street, Society Café should be able to take their business to the next level.
