Floral and Lifestyle Boutique Gets Marketing Boost to Bring Vision to Life
In January 2021, Caitlyn and Meagan decided to pursue their entrepreneurial passions and purchased The Girl Floral, a unique combination of flower shop, wedding florist, and lifestyle boutique located in Hamilton, Ontario.
Meagan is an eco-friendly field biologist and an incredibly skilled floral designer. She weaves her passion for sustainability and ethical business decisions into every brand and bouquet. Caitlyn is a small business owner and entrepreneur who is eager to bring her love of self-care and self-appreciation to every customer.
The Girl Floral is proud to carry products from Canadian made, women led and designed, or BIPOC led and designed brands. Their beautiful floral bouquet is sustainably designed and locally sourced, making The Girl Floral everyone’s ideal local wedding florist for whimsical, modern weddings.
As the new business owners, Caitlyn and Meagan wanted to put their own special touch on The Girl Floral brand, but they lacked the marketing and web design skills necessary to bring their vision to life.
While their floral sales had been through the roof, they really wanted to put the spotlight on their other lifestyle and boutique products. Moving forward, they wanted to clean up their website and social media to focus on what they thought was most important: their Canadian brands, women led brands, and BIPOC led and designed brands. They also wanted to focus on improving engagement with their loyal clientele through digital marketing, social media engagement, and newsletters.
The first thing the Transformation Team did was redesign the website. On the homepage, they brought greater focus to The Girl Floral’s mission and values. They altered the aesthetic to better match the beautiful, whimsical floral design of the brand and put the core products front and centre.
Next, to reward The Girl Floral’s loyal customers, as well as entice new visitors to make their first purchase, the team set Caitlyn and Meagan up with their own loyalty program. Tailored to their specification, their loyalty program will give rewards, free shipping, and birthday presents to the customers that make their work possible!
To help promote their new program, the team also set them up with updated brochures, newsletters, Instagram Story posts and overall digital marketing guidance to help the owners understand how to properly utilize their huge Instagram base of 16k followers, and let their customers know about the new loyalty program.
With the redesigned Wedding Brochure, Loyalty Program, Digital Marketing Guidance Document, and Canva content, they are equipped to step forward into 2021 confidently. The help of the DMS Futureproof program has given Caitlyn and Meagan the time and assistance they needed to get their feet under them. Wedding season is around the corner and The Girl Floral is excited to see what spring brings!
