Helping Authentic Spanish Cuisine Restaurant Reach New Customers

Wanting to spread some deliciously authentic food, La Lola Catering was established in Canada after the owners moved from Spain. Unfortunately, shortly after opening, COVID-19 shut down restaurants and La Lola Catering wasn’t able to open theirs. Not giving up hope, the owners set up their social media and developed their own website, but they weren’t getting the amount of customers they wanted.

To help La Lola Catering, the Future Proof Team got to work with analyzing their social media (Instagram and Facebook), and diving deeper into the workings of the website.

In regards to their website, they didn’t want a big revamp, so the Transformation Team focused on the smaller things that would make the website look more visually appealing. New fonts were used and the text was changed to a colour that was easier to read. The bodies of text on each page were edited to have better flow, a more personal “ About Us “ section was added into the website, and the menu descriptions were changed to be even more appealing to new customers.

A website description was quickly added into the website so more people could search online to find the small business. Keywords and phrases were developed and added into the website and the description.

On social media platforms, profile pictures were colour corrected, biography information was edited, and the Instagram account was changed from a Creator account to a Business account to access promoted posts and analytics. Three Facebook ad campaigns were created to promote their store, Paella party summer catering, and additional social content was scheduled to promote the business. They were also taught how to post on Instagram’s IGTV and make reels.

With all the design changes and scheduling planned for La Lola, the team came up with a  resource document that the client could refer to at a later date. It includes tips on how to make videos, use social media templates, alter Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and tips on descriptive writing. Changes have been made, and with the use of the new social media formatting, La Lola Catering will be able to promote their food better than before.
