How this Lawyer is Taking his Practice to the Next Level

Lawyer Danny Bellin set up his small, boutique law office, Bellin Law, in Cambridge, Ontario, after working in business and for larger firms throughout the decades. Through years of providing exceptional service, Danny mainly relied on word of mouth to bring in new clients. Given the pandemic world, there isn’t as much chatting taking place as there once was, and Danny knew he had to leverage his online presence for his practice to continue thriving. Danny outlined his website and social media pain points and collaborated with Digital Main Street’s Transformation Team to execute a plan to remedy them.

The first part of the plan was to amalgamate his three existing websites. The team decided in order to improve the user experience and website traffic, it would be advantageous to have all three website’s information in one spot. This process included updating and cutting down the copy so that it was more scannable and complimented the visual appeal of the new website. Danny found the newly merged website to be easier for him to navigate and run on the backend.

The second part of the plan was to create and implement a branding and SEO strategy. The team worked alongside Danny to establish a branding strategy and implemented it across the newly merged website and his Twitter account. The team used the updated branding to create business cards, letterheads and fax cover sheets to ensure uniformity for Danny in all areas of his practice moving forward. In order to improve the website’s SEO ranking, two blog posts were written and posted to the website, as well as applying SEO best practices through the use of keywords, title meta tags and meta descriptions.

To ensure Danny’s continued success long after his time in the Future Proof Program, the team supplied him with many guides and resources to utilize moving forward. Some of these included guides for Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO best practices, and resources for managing the backend of his WordPress website. With these tools, Danny will be able to continue the work required to bring in future clients.
