London Based Yoga Practice taps Digital Main Street to reach new customers

par Communitech   |   18 mars 2021   |   Partager :

Katarina Yoga is a recently-started business based in London, Ontario. The business, founded by Katarina Wittkamp, offers various types of yoga classes from Vinyasa to Subtle Practice, in the forms of live sessions, recorded videos, and private lessons. Katarina has just recently entered the online business arena, and was in need of reaching new customers through digital marketing, as well as refreshing her current website and newsletters.

The Transformation Team started by investigating the marketing approaches all the competitors are taking and decided to go with a social media marketing approach, since it is much easier to maintain. A marketing strategy for Facebook and Instagram was created for the best reach.

Thanks to the good SEO practice and the already implemented booking system, the website can serve the business function very well. However, the user experience on the website needed some improvement. The Transformation Team compiled a list of UX suggestions in order to provide a more fluid and consistent experience. Additionally, the pricing page also received a face lift in terms of layout & design for better sales results.

Katarina had this to say about working with a Transformation Team: “It was so helpful to work with a team on some of the fundamental tech challenges that I was facing. As an entrepreneur, I just don't have enough time to get to all the details that this team helped me with. They offered great ideas in terms of marketing and branding and gave very useful suggestions for improving the user experience of my website. I'm very grateful for everyone who contributed!”

About Digital Main Street

A $42.5-million investment from FedDev Ontario brought together the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas, Communitech, Invest Ottawa and the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association to expand the Digital Main Street Platform in order to support more businesses going digital as a response to the impacts of COVID-19 in Southern Ontario.
