Give Life A Sparkle With Chunky Glitter Company

Kristen Butryn has been a crafter for many years and her favourite crafts have a little bit of glitter. One of the aspects of crafting she really enjoys is buying the supplies. Kristen is the owner of Chunky Glitter Company, which offers an ever-expanding selection of high-quality polyester glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes.

After noticing the Canadian glitter market was lacking, Kristen started Chunky Glitter Company. Her glitter is cosmetic grade and designed for crafts, art, makeup, bath bombs, soap, and anything else that could use a little sparkle. You can find almost every colour, shape, and size of glitter you could ever want in her online store!

Kristen wanted to launch her glitter company online, so she signed up for the ShopHERE powered by Google Program.

“ShopHERE provided me with access to the support I needed to get my store up and running.”

With no experience in website building, Kristen found the support from her eCommerce Coordinator instrumental in launching her Shopify store. She found the process smooth and easy and was provided guidance every step of the way.

Her Coordinator asked a lot of questions, so that they could ensure the two of them were on the same page. While not a glitter expert, her coordinator knew how to help Kristen and get her business online.

“My Coordinator was very open to my feedback and worked with me to give me the store I envisioned.”

Kristen’s product was delayed getting to her, so her eCommerce Coordinator jumped in to solve this problem and used stock photos to keep the momentum going. Once she received the product and could take photos, they switched out the stock photos and launched the store.

“Getting my store set up has allowed me to gain a ton of exposure for my business. I am able to drive traffic to my website through a variety of channels and methods.”

Her online store can track inventory, automatically generate order emails, and make Kristen’s business processes easier. Not only did her eCommerce Coordinator help build the site, but they also made sure that Kristen had the knowledge and skills to run it on her own.

Her biggest challenge is to get her name out there, but she is excited for the opportunity to convert viewers into customers and build a lifelong relationship with fellow crafters. The experience has been a rollercoaster for Kristen.

“I have never been so excited and terrified in my life. I am in awe of the possibilities in front of me, I gain a little more confidence in each website view and I’m thrilled with how my business was launched.”

Kristen started 2021 off with 79 glitter varieties and has grown to 180 varieties for all your crafting needs and ships Canada-wide. She has also created a monthly subscription package that has grown to 30 monthly subscribers!

Kristen’s advice is to do what makes you happy and do it to the best of your ability.
