We all know that taking care of our body is important, and healthy skin is the first step to a healthy mind and body. For those with a skin condition, however, this is easier said than done. That is why Natasha Burnett, aka The Scrub Queen, created SoRoyal Skincare Line, a skincare brand that offers luxurious beauty products at an affordable price.

Being a mother of a child with Eczema, Natasha searched tirelessly for a safe, trustworthy skincare brand for her family, but always came up short. Frustrated but determined, Natasha decided to take a leap of faith and get educated to formulate her own beauty products. With her daughter in mind, Natasha created SoRoyal Skincare Line, made only with pure, organic, and all-natural ingredients. Her non-toxic skin care line can be used across all ages and is great for a variety of skin conditions including Eczema and Psoriasis. She has since launched her business and started the journey of selling these products online.

Digital Main Street ShopHERE Program powered by Google Graduate

Affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns, Natasha knew that she needed to get online fast to reach both her current and potential customers. She signed up for the ShopHERE powered by Google program and matched with eCommerce coordinator Ana, who guided Natasha through the entire website building process.

“The ShopHERE Program creates an awesome opportunity and new possibilities to those who otherwise would have been left behind. The program made it possible for me to remain in business and expand my business and taught me how to be business savvy in digital times.”

With support from Ana and the ShopHERE Program, “the process of setting [Natasha’s] store up online was quick, simple, and informative.” Natasha was able to customize the display and aesthetic of her Shopify website to match her branding and vision. As well, instant chat messaging and email reminder features were integrated to improve her customers’ shopping experience.“ My eCommerce Coordinator was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She captured my vision easily and identified areas of weakness and provided documents and links to strengthen my skills. She sent reminders and follows up and her awesome personality made the overall process easy!”

Within 24 hours of graduating from the program, Natasha received her first online sale. With the knowledge she gained from the ShopHERE Program, Natasha is currently creating and running advertisements to reach a wider audience. She recognizes that there will be challenges ahead, but she remains curious and eager to learn more from the marketing resources and courses that the ShopHERE Program provides. Natasha also has some advice to share with her fellow small business owners.

“The ShopHERE Program is simple and smooth from the application process to my website being published. If you are an ambitious small business battling the pandemic with closed doors with the feeling of nowhere to turn, turn to the ShopHERE Program to help create and build your online presence and connect with like-minded business entrepreneurs. Once you have completed the ShopHERE Program your customers will be shopping from here, there and everywhere!”
