Mind Your Bees Wraps and Digital Main Street Team Up For A Buzzing Transformation
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding the topics of eco-friendliness and sustainability, I mean, Greta Thunberg is basically a household name at this point. But some may find terms like “sustainable” and “zero waste” really daunting. It’s almost as if in order to live a more environmentally-conscious life, you have to take an all-or-nothing approach.
What if you could dip your toe into the waters of living sustainably by doing something as simple as not using plastic wrap?
The Digital Transformation Team had the pleasure of working with Hamilton-based business, Mind Your Bees Wraps, a company dedicated to eliminating disposable, single-use kitchen products, one beeswax wrap at a time. Their signature product, the beeswax wrap, is made with 100% GOTS-certified cotton, Canadian beeswax, and a signature blend of all-natural ingredients that come together to help keep food fresher for longer and reduce food waste.
Mind Your Bees Wraps has over 100 retail partners across Canada, but was looking to strengthen their daily e-commerce sales, since in-person shopping is limited to varying degrees throughout the country. Working alongside the company’s founders, Ashley Shortall and Daniel Tremblay, the team was able to make improvements to their website, implement newsletter signup incentives and abandoned cart sequences, and provide official branding guidelines.
The most exciting part about the project was supporting the owners through the launch of their newest product, a DIY beeswax wrap kit! The team ensured the necessary updates were made to the Mind Your Bees Wraps website prior to launch, prepared social media assets to use as posts and paid ads, and designed the kit’s instruction card (which is printed on plantable wildflower seed paper).
With plans to evolve into an environmentally-conscious lifestyle brand, it was important that the team help Ashley and Daniel plant the seeds (pollinator-friendly, of course) for that growth. They implemented tools to help streamline the content creation process, so that Ashley and Daniel could focus on providing buzzworthy, value-based blog posts, newsletters, and social media posts, in addition to building their online community.
Mind Your Bees Wraps has grown from Ashley and Daniel’s kitchen, to now calling Hamilton’s historic Cotton Factory home. They are feeling confident and ready to take the North American eco-friendly market by storm!
