Redefining Wellness with E-Commerce: Superior Pilates Online Journey
Superior Pilates is a fitness studio that focuses on building the strength and flexibility of women and men aged 40 and over business owner, Danielle Fell, made a boost in her online presence by creating a new e-commerce storefront and implementing SEO with support from the CDAP program.
After many years of saying ‘one day', Danielle Fell opened her studio – Superior Pilates, in 2021. She decided to pursue her passion: helping people live better and feel better through movement. The mission at Superior Pilates is to provide everyone with an opportunity to build the strength, flexibility and confidence needed to live their most fulfilling life. She helps women and men aged 40 and over improve flexibility and strengthen their core and pelvic floor through Pilates exercises. Clients are encouraged to challenge themselves, find mental clarity and discover their inner strength through participation in the studio’s curated sessions. Danielle’s deep knowledge and positive presence is reflected in her services. Through her care and attention to detail, she provides thoughtful plans specific to each body, fitness level and pain points of her customers – making her stand out in the fitness industry.
With her mission and services in motion, Danielle needed a way to keep up with the quickly changing pace of the digital world and help reach more customers in need of her services. Wanting to grow the business and remain competitive, she decided to embark on her journey to strengthen her presence online. By participating in the Programme canadien d'adoption du numérique (PCAN) through Digital Main Street, she found guidance and a wealth of resources to help grow her confidence in moving forward with the digital transformation of her business. The CDAP program provided personalized e-commerce advisory support and access to a $2400 microgrant to assist with the costs of implementing her e-commerce digital technologies.
After meeting with her e-commerce advisor, Danielle made the decision to create a new professional, user-friendly website to sell her classes online. The website allows her to reach more potential clientele and offer more purchase options through the updated online store. She also strengthened her digital marketing efforts by implementing search engine optimization for the website, allowing both current and new customers to find her new online store. Danielle expressed her positive experience in the program saying:
“Adding an online store seemed like a daunting task! However, going through the program made the possibility of having an online store easier and receiving the funding definitely made it more affordable. I've already had my first online store purchase, and it was an easy process for me and the client…”
Danielle also appreciated how supportive the CDAP Grant Administration team was throughout her process. She reflects: “My Grant Administrator was encouraging and helpful. They responded to all my questions in a timely manner. It was nice having a specific person to contact…The application process was easy to understand, the portal was easy to navigate and the whole process was educational. I would highly recommend small businesses go through the CDAP program.”
Now that Superior Pilates has a new website and enhanced SEO, Danielle has all the tools she needs to continue growing her business online, reaching more customers, and ultimately, helping more people find their inner strength.
