Deliverect to Help Toronto Restaurants Manage Third-Party Delivery Apps
Digital Main Street is pleased to announce that Deliverect has been selected to offer its delivery optimization platform to Toronto restaurants this winter. This pilot is made possible through the Community Collaboration project, an initiative which was announced this summer under the Digital Main Street Future Proof banner. At least 100 independently owned restaurants are expected to receive free access to the platform for 90 days through the Community Collaboration pilot.
Deliverect is a tool which aggregates orders from multiple third-party delivery apps and connects those orders directly to a restaurant’s kitchen. This alleviates the requirement to have staff maintain multiple tablets which reduces mistakes and wait times for patrons. Restaurants can increase their online delivery and take away sales and decrease their labour and error costs, all while increasing the business’ overall rating on delivery apps. Digital Main Street is supported through FedDev Ontario funding and in partnership with ventureLAB.
“The Government of Canada is pleased to support Digital Main Street and innovative technology pilot studies like Deliverect, which are helping local main street businesses improve operations and customer experiences through platforms like Deliverect. We are proud to work with Digital Main Street partners including Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), Communitech, Invest Ottawa and the Regional Innovation Centres to help position entrepreneurs for success as we move towards economic recovery.” –The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this valuable service to independent restaurants in these difficult times. It's no secret that restaurants are facing challenges and we are here to help. We are confident that Deliverect can make restaurants thrive this winter by managing their online sales in a way that increases sales and improves guest experience.”- Jerome Laredo, Chief Revenue Officer at Deliverect
“Restaurants have been among some of the hardest hit segments of the economy due to COVID-19. CafeTO helped Toronto main street restaurants through the summer and fall and we’re pleased to partner with Deliverect to offer their ordering and delivery optimization tool free of charge during this difficult period.” – John Kiru, Executive Director at the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas
As Toronto restaurants experience ongoing closures and rely on take-out and delivery as their sole income stream, a tool that can reduce losses due to mistakes is a much-needed extra lifeline. The Community Collaboration project seeks to pilot solutions that target challenges facing main street small businesses. Pilot projects will run until March 2021.

About Digital Main Street
Digital Main Street is a program that helps main street businesses achieve digital transformation. The program is built around an online learning platform, structured training programs, and our Digital Service Squad, a team of street-level team members who help main street businesses grow and manage their operations through technology.
Digital Main Street was created by the Toronto Association on Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) with direct support from the City of Toronto. DMS is also supported by a group of strategic business partners, including Google, Mastercard, Shopify, Microsoft, Facebook, Intuit QuickBooks, Square, and Yellow Pages. A $42.5 investment from FedDev Ontario and an additional $7.45 million from the Government of Ontario brought together the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas, Communitech, Invest Ottawa, and the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association to expand the Digital Main Street Platform in order to support more businesses to go digital as a response to the impacts of COVID-19.
