Caley-Beth is an indie beauty company that offers high performance artisan skincare, through sustainable products that use hand-selected plant-based and natural ingredients. Caley’s passion for plants and nature, and how they can impact our health and beauty, got her to study cosmetic formulation back in 2013, with a focus on plant-based ingredients to create high-performance luxurious beauty products. Caley had to close her previous business of 25 years due to COVID-19. She saw the ShopHERE Powered by Google Program as an opportunity to pivot and to pursue the Caley-Beth business full time.

She wanted to be able to create sustainable and eco-conscious, luxurious products. Caley noted that “the beauty industry has an immense impact on the environment; from ingredients, packaging, processing, manufacturing, to transportation all through the life cycle of each product.”

Her products have nothing to hide.  They are based on honesty and integrity and are designed to celebrate women that embrace their age, body, and nurture their individuality by connecting with rejuvenating nature.

“I had started going to school to learn how to formulate natural cosmetics in 2013, so I could make them for my family and friends. I'm very passionate about plants and nature, and how they can be used to beautify and heal ourselves…I’m constantly researching and expanding my education to develop natural eco-luxury beauty products.”

Through ShopHERE, Caley turned her passion into a full-time business as she built an online store on Shopify with her helpful and knowledgeable ShopHERE Coordinators. “Any questions I had or added features I was looking for they were either able to help me with or get the information needed to get it done. It was a bit intense getting it all done so quickly, but it was otherwise pain free, and exciting to make and watch it come together,” Caley comments.

In addition to the ShopHERE Coordinator’s help, Shopify offers short and easy to follow video tutorials, from as simple as adding in products to customizing checkout and delivery options.

“There is so much to learn and do to build a website, connect it to social media stores and how to optimize them with SEO, that there is no way I could have done it myself in the amount of time Digital Main Street helped me do it.”

Caley highlighted the features that she desired to have and with the help of her ShopHERE Coordinators, implemented everything into her new website. “The student helpers were overall very professional and good at moving me through the program to ensure everything was covered and my website launch was a success,” Caley explained. Through her new website, audiences can now order luxurious skin care products while making a positive impact on the environment.
