Tech Support For Small Businesses From A Small Business - Techity Consulting
We will all look back at 2020 as the very moment that the tables turned – the pandemic was the trigger to an event that was completely unexpected. From a positive perspective, it opened the doors for a surge in eCommerce and accelerated digital transformation while economic activity was slowing. In fact, in Canada alone, the Canadian eCommerce market contributed to the worldwide growth rate of 18% in 2021, with at least a 26% increase of eCommerce sales since before the pandemic.
With this increase in adoption and optimization of eCommerce capabilities, Ruth Aliu and Techity Consulting provide services to small business owners that need help with identifying technology needs & solutions for their business.
With extensive expertise in the realm of technology, Ruth had ample opportunity to learn and apply her knowledge with IT support roles, project management, and a fulfilling engineering program manager role, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Information System Security from Concordia University (which was, at the time, the only program offering a Master’s Degree in this capacity in Canada).
When the pandemic began, many of Ruth’s colleagues began contacting her for their online business concerns, which she assumed came with common sense solutions. Seeing the opportunity to help, and the fulfillment she received from what she was able to provide, she registered her business in May 2021. When creating her new business, Ruth identified a lack of emphasis on the importance of cybersecurity, especially in her home country, and she was able to start her business with this value proposition of taking one less thing off her clients’ plates.
“ShopHERE provided the resources for me to have a website that tells potential customers about my new business and the services we offer. The build of my online store satisfied the look and feel I had in mind for my business.”
Through the ShopHERE powered by Google program, Ruth took advantage of the opportunity to work one on one with an eCommerce Coordinator to help optimize her website for potential clients. She found the process of getting an online store started to be very straightforward and quick and admired the fact that the Government of Ontario and other partner organizations are committed to seeing small business owners succeed.
“[My eCommerce Coodinator] was super attentive, listened and really understood the vision I had for my business. He always checked in to ensure that the work on the website was on track with what I had in mind”
Now that Ruth has launched Techity Consulting, she is able to provide clients with an abundance of opportunities; technology audits & assessments, security certificate troubleshooting, security awareness training, and IT support services among other opportunities. Techity Consulting is proud to be a small business and will be more than happy to be your small business partner.
