Driving new business – Candy’s Cabs
About the Business
Candy’s Cabs is a female-owned cab company led by owner and Whitecourt local Candace Kucharchuk. Candy’s provides 24hr cab services for anything from special events and airport transportation to boosting batteries and delivery of goods. Candace prides herself on her dedication to safety to ensure that she is providing a service that her community can count on.
Key Business Challenge
Candace came to the Digital Service Squad looking to find out how to compete with established cab companies in the area and how to drive new business. Some critical elements of competing were the discoverability of her company and the building of brand credibility.
How did the Digital Service Squad help?
The DSS at Community Futures Yellowhead East assisted Candace by focusing on building discoverability and brand credibility online. To help with discoverability, our team met with Candance through one-on-one meetings to develop her Google My Business profile so that her company could easily be found through online searches. For building credibility, the DSS shared strategies for getting online reviews and being more active on social media. By becoming more discoverable and building out her online presence, Candace was able to become the highest-rated cab company in her area.
“[The] Digital Service Squad helped get the word out about Candy’s Cabs. It was a great experience as I appreciate the help with marketing and advertising. I really enjoyed the services provided by the Digital Service Squad program, especially the one-on-one assistance. I believe Digital Service Squad is a great service to help small businesses get online. DSS has been very helpful and friendly.”.”
