AirQ indoor air sensor measures airborne infection risk and communicates the safety of your business
AirQ’s custom-built sensor helps measure and manage airborne infection risks. Developed to assist a Fortune 500 customer, our multi-sensor unit provides live data on lingering exhaled air concentrations (CO2), and a small particle counter (to assess filtering systems). Airborne infection risk is created when a person with COVID-19 exhales infectious particles that are inhaled by others (100-300 particles are an approximate infectious dose). Increasing fresh air flow and reducing occupancy minimizes exhaled air concentrations, and therefore the risk of spreading infection (EVEN when multiple people with COVID-19 are present). For those with inadequate air flow, AirQ provides recommendations on simple cost-effective safety measures to improve fresh air circulation and filtering. The AirQ sensor aids this process with: live display of exhaled air concentrations, ability to trigger alarms or fans, and logged data that enables in-depth indoor air audits. A networked version of the product will also allow live transmission to a map of “safe” indoor locations that can promote your business and its safe environment.
