The Tale of your Town

The Tale of a Town – Canada is a national oral history project that is capturing the collective community memory of our country's main streets, one story at a time, while preserving local heritage and promoting neighbourhood culture. To date we've visited all ten provinces and three territories engaging tens of thousands of Canadians along the way. Please reach out!

We'll bring a mobile recording studio to your main street interview residents, gather archives and collaborate with local artists bringing the story of your town to life!

We have visited over 150 communities across Canada with our storymobiles. Like every mainstreet our projects adapt to and work with the local communities.

Look to the past to inspire the future of your main street and create some meaninful content along the way!
