Martial Arts Gym Practices the Discipline of Digital Marketing

For Alejandro Contreras, Limitless Martial Arts is more than just  a place for his clients to learn the art of taekwondo. The classes he runs teach not only the fundamentals of martial arts; they also strive to instill respect, self-control and discipline that prepare students to become community leaders. With positive results and the goal of reaching more students with their programming, Limitless began offering their martial arts classes in a partial, and fully-integrated, online format called Tactica Online. This shift gave Limitless the challenge of optimizing their website and social media strategy to build a strong digital presence. For this, they turned to a Transformation Team at Digital Main Street.

The team began by performing a brand audit of Limitless’ online presence. Included in this audit were a SWOT analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses and an examination of the current brand strategy. This information was then used to develop an improvement strategy to help grow brand recognition with new and returning digital viewers.

Improvements to the website were made, specifically updating sections for blog posts, adding an Instagram feed and adding products to the online store. Further, the colour contrast, grid size, and favicon of the company logo were adjusted. Loading times on webpages were also minimized for better SEO results.

To create a stronger social media presence, the team developed a 12-month social media campaign to drive new client growth, as well as content ideas for the blog. Additionally, recommendations for digital marketing tactics such as email marketing, giveaways, referral programs, paid advertising and discount codes were given as tools for reaching the new membership goal.

To maximize Google ranking, the team met with Mr. Contreeras to provide help with Google Analytics and Google My Business. With the former, a dashboard and tutorial were developed to organize data; and, monthly reports will be auto-generated to influence future marketing decisions. For the latter, the team assisted Mr. Contreras with claiming his company’s profile. A summary of best practices and tips for posting updates and responding to reviews was also provided.

The digital sphere is a formidable opponent; but, armed with new skills and information, Mr. Contreras now has the tools needed to help Limitless Martial Arts rise to the challenge and master it.
