Bluewater Flower Farm is a unique and immersive experience for visitors to Haldimand County. Located on the traditional grounds of the Haudenosaunee, the farm marries a love for teaching and growing to attract visitors to experience the beauty and resiliency of locally grown flowers.

Owner and grower Jessica Carpio’s journey began on a quarter acre of land but quickly expanded to just over an acre to meet the demand for her beautiful, locally grown flowers. She now partners with Shared Harvest Farm and Education Center in Dunnville, where she operates as an independent farmer on their acreage. Bluewater Flower Farm also offers seasonal experiential tours and sensory-based small group workshops – including; Plant Identification of Native, Edible and Fragrant Flowers, Bulb and Perennial Planting, Soil Building, Make Your Own Bouquets and Wreath Sessions, and small group workshops. Bluewater Flower Farm is also a successful graduate of the ShopHERE powered by Google program.

“Without this program, I would not have a website. Period! The flexibility and weekly tasks associated with the construction of this site were vital to my being able to continue to work while building the site. Each aspect was carefully curated and edited and was a team effort”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses discovered the importance of having a digital presence when everyone was forced to isolate. The ShopHERE powered by Google program offered support to local businesses like Jessica's to grow and succeed by providing access to free eCommerce tools and resources, as well as a dedicated eCommerce Coordinator to help them throughout the program. The no-cost support offered through this program empowers business owners to embrace the transformation of their business with ease and confidence.

“My Coordinator was the most gracious and accommodating person. She understood my vision and helped me every step of the way.”

Thanks to the ShopHERE program, Jessica’s business is now thriving online. After launching her beautiful website, she is bringing in more customers and focusing more on adding new services at the same time.

“Through the ShopHERE powered by Google program, I've been able to expand my online presence and reach a wider audience. I now sell my locally grown flowers and bouquets through my website, and have even started offering virtual workshops and classes. This has allowed me to continue providing value to my community, even during the pandemic.”

In addition to offering high-quality products and services, Jessica is also dedicated to giving back to her community through the Growing Kindness Project. This project empowers individuals to cultivate kindness and connection in their communities by growing and giving flowers.

“Each month I share flowers in kindness with my community as a way to spread joy and build relationships,”
