E-Commerce is Bliss for Blisscor Home Decor
Blisscor Home Decor owned by Jasneet Ahuja is a Canadian, woman-owned sustainable business based out of Brampton. Their purpose is to provide sustainable elegance through home décor pieces that act as works of art. The Blisscor website says it best, “were not just curators of decor; we're storytellers, weaving tales of beauty and functionality. “
Ahuja saw an ad for the ShopHERE powered by Google program and was “inspired to apply”. Although she was confident with her products, she knew this was the help she needed for her business.
The ShopHERE powered by Google program creates online stores for independent small businesses and artists at no cost to them. Each participant is partnered with a dedicated E-Commerce Coordinator to help them create and configure an e-commerce website for their business. The program also trains and empowers business owners on how to manage their online store themselves.
According to Ahuja, it wasn’t until she joined the ShopHERE program that she realized how much assistance and guidance she would need to launch an online store. But, with the support of her E-commerce Coordinator, they were able to create an online store that was “built beyond (my) expectations”, shares Ahuja.
For Ahuja, working with her E-Commerce Coordinator was ‘truly remarkable’.
“(Their) kindness and patience shone through during our collaboration,” Jasneet says. “Whenever I encountered challenges in grasping certain concepts, he went the extra mile, taking the time to explain them to me until I finally understood.”
Now that she has completed the program and has launched Blisscor’s online store, Ahuja reflects on her program experience.
“The ShopHERE program proved to be incredibly valuable… Venturing into the world of e-commerce was a significant learning experience for me, and I'm grateful for the program's support in offering valuable guidance throughout this journey,” she says.
