Crafting Dreams and Communities: The Crusty Witch's Digital Journey

We’ve all heard the proverb: “It takes a village” and The Crusty Witch’s unique approach builds on that. Tara Sacharzewski’s inspiration for starting her business came naturally- finding confidence and strength after the birth of her daughter. Tara’s newly found goal was to build a community of individuals who wanted healing and were eager to get through their hardships.

“It takes a village, and I'm here to help create that village in a safe and judgment-free environment”

Sacharzewski wanted to bring together a community through spiritual practices while providing knowledge on how to create handmade bath and home products. To build her community, Tara needed a website that represented her and her business – a challenge she overcame with the help of the ShopHERE powered by Google program. The ShopHERE powered by Google program helps small businesses and artists like Tara and The Crusty Witch, by providing 1-1 support to help build an e-commerce site.

Tara shared that her dedicated E-Commerce Coordinator was knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and supportive. The E-Commerce Coordinator guided her through setting up her online store quickly and efficiently. One of the most valuable lessons she gained was the importance of establishing consistency on her website. Her E-Commerce Coordinator helped her build a website that she can be proud of, that 100% represents who she is and the feel of her business.

“(My e-Commerce Advisor) was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient, and provided so much support along my journey. I was so impressed with the simplicity that came with the right support.”

On her website, Tara showcases upcoming events for which her clients and members of her community seeking spiritual practices can register.

Once her website launched, Tara faced a new challenge: learning how to create captivating marketing material for her business. But after enrolling in Digital Main Street’s webinars focusing on steps post-website launch, she has no doubt she’ll be able to succeed and achieve her goals with the support and resources provided.

“(ShopHERE is) incredible for anyone looking to build a website with amazing support and knowledge and continue learning and growing with a community of incredible individuals looking to help people succeed in business”.

The ShopHERE powered by Google program empowered Tara to achieve her goals and foster the sense of community she aimed for in her business.
