Capturing Success Online with Budget Camera Studio

Kennedy Obioha is the proud owner of Budget Camera Studio Inc. located in North York, Ontario.

Prior to the COVID-19 closures, Obioha was operating a successful production company but recognized he needed to pivot with the changing landscape of the pandemic. He decided to shift  Budget Camera Studio Inc. into a camera, equipment and studio rental company, giving customers access to quality cameras, equipment and studios without the high costs associated with purchasing the necessary gear.

To take Budget Camera Studio Inc. to the next level, Obioha recognized the need to grow his online presence and enhance the existing website for his ‘new’ business. That is when he discovered the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP)

The Canada Digital Adoption connects small businesses like Budget Camera Studio, with a dedicated e-commerce advisor who can support them with e-commerce solutions, digital marketing knowledge and more. The CDAP program also provides eligible businesses with a $2,400 microgrant to implement these e-commerce strategies, so business owners like Obioha can embrace modern tools to benefit their business.

When Obioha was paired with his dedicated e-commerce advisor, they discussed his business goals and reviewed his current digital presence. With the advice and knowledge from the advisor, Obioha decided to upgrade the Budget Camera Studio’s website with e-commerce functionality so that customers can see product availability, complete payments and place orders directly on the website.

With his new website now operating, Obioha expresses that he is already seeing the benefits of the upgraded website.

“CDAP and (the) microgrant has been instrumental in driving our online growth and cultivating positive customer relations.”

As he looks to the future, Obioha feels his new website, and the advice and support from the CDAP program will help him continue to grow the business and help him reach more customers and continue to build brand loyalty. He also says that his new digital setup “has created opportunities for innovation and adaptation, ensuring that our business remains competitive in the ever-changing digital landscape.”
