Dental Works Airdie is creating a comfortable dental experience for families in Airdrie, Alberta.

In May 2023, Dr. Kevin Kotecha opened his clinic, Dental Works Airdrie. Reflecting on his four years of dental experience, Dr. Kotecha knew he wanted to create a comfortable dental experience for families in his community.

Since then, the clinic has established itself as a trustworthy and reliable practice in the community of Airdrie. Along with Office Manager Linda Bonilla, Dr. Kotecha wanted to expand their reach to new clients.

Knowing they could leverage digital marketing for business growth, they wanted to learn more about the tools they could use. Despite their enthusiasm, they faced challenges because of their limited digital marketing knowledge and lack of time.

Linda came across the Digital Economy Program (DEP) which offers training in digital marketing for small businesses. She connected with an experienced team in digital marketing, the Digital Service Squad (DSS) to discuss their digital marketing objectives. They created a strategic plan to reach new customers and to connect with their existing clients. With a focus on growing their social media presence, Linda learned how to incorporate ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence tool, to help review and enhance their content. The clinic also incorporated Mailchimp to automate the collection of patient feedback.

After reviewing their website, the DSS saw an opportunity to drive more traffic to their website through search engine optimization (SEO). Together, they identified areas for improvement and provided actionable keyword suggestions to boost their online visibility and attract more clients.

Having learned so much over the past few weeks, Linda believes that DEP's information, tools, and resources are valuable to businesses that need to learn about them to be successful in promoting a business using digital marketing.

“The most valuable part was learning about new tools that can help boost us and make our jobs easier.  It may seem small but learning about MailChimp and ChatGPT was a great help for us.” – Linda Bonilla, Office Manager

Since incorporating what they learned in the Digital Economy Program, Dental Works Airdrie has reduced the amount of time they spend on their marketing from automating processes and improved their engagement on their social media channels.
