Wingham, ON Boutique Now Offers Boho-Chic Fashion Online
Inspired by her love for unique fashion and lifestyle items, Juliet created Boho Tide, a fashion boutique that specializes in Bohemian Chic aesthetics. From Turkish harem pants and kimonos to Buddha statues and funky jewellery, Boho Tide has a wide product offering that will meet all sorts of stylistic needs. “Life is hard, but it can be made more pleasant by the comfort of wearing my favorite harem pants, the happiness of a beautiful tie dye top, and listening to the calming sounds of a bamboo wind chime”
After opening a brick-and-mortar store in Wingham, Ontario, she recognized the importance of having an online presence with tight COVID-19 restrictions and impending lockdowns. That is why she signed up for the ShopHERE Powered by Google Program to create a website and online store.
“I went from being a brick & mortar store to expanding into an online business. This move was essential for my growth and really for just surviving during this Covid-19 Pandemic.”
Together with the ShopHERE Program, Juliet built her online store on Square. Her eCommerce Coordinator was extremely helpful by designing a store that captured the vision and aesthetic of Boho Tide. Juliet was also ecstatic to have support and guidance along the entire website building process. With online resources provided by the ShopHERE Program, Juliet has all the knowledge she needs to operate her store and has the potential to reach customers across Canada. “The ShopHERE Program was tremendously helpful with getting my online store set up. My eCommerce Coordinator really got the vibe of my business and created a design that reflected what my business is about.”
It has now been a few months since the Boho Tide store went online. Juliet has had tremendous success with online sales across Canada. She thoroughly enjoyed working with the ShopHERE Program and recommends it to other small businesses looking to get online.
“During these last few months, although my brick and mortar store has been in lockdown, I have survived as a business due to website sales. I even had sales in British Columbia and Alberta, which is very exciting for me considering that I am based in a rural community in Ontario. Working with Digital Main Street and ShopHERE has been the best business decision that I have made.”

Digital Main Street was created by the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) with direct support from the City of Toronto. DMS is also supported by a group of strategic business partners, including Google, Mastercard, Shopify, Microsoft, Facebook, Intuit QuickBooks, Square, Yellow Pages and Lightspeed.
A $42.5-million investment from FedDev Ontario brought together the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas, Communitech, Invest Ottawa and the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association to expand the Digital Main Street Platform in order to support more businesses going digital as a response to the impacts of COVID-19 in Southern Ontario.
