The eCommerce World Welcomes A New Queen Bee
New to the eCommerce world, The Queens Beeswax is a premium seller of handcrafted beeswax candles. Owner Maria Vykyslay says the inspiration to start this business came from a family tradition, her children would buy her beeswax candles as a treat for Mother’s Day and birthdays. These kind gestures are what prompted Maria to start The Queens Beeswax, and share her creations with the world.
Maria believes in promoting healthy living and caring for the planet. This is why her business works to provide customers with all-natural beeswax candles that are ethically sourced and kind to the earth. The Queens Beeswax also promotes healthy living and is committed to providing non-toxic and eco-friendly products. 5% of all profits from The Queens Beeswax goes to the Honey Bee Research Centre at the University of Guelph. Maria’s passion for candle making has provided her with a career she loves, which she can do right into her retirement.
This strong motivation and passion behind the brand has created a solid foundation for the eCommerce store that was built. For The Queens Beeswax, the ShopHERE Powered by Google Program has allowed for the expansion of this family-run business into the online world. Providing the ability to reach more customers than ever before, business owner Maria says,
“Any business would benefit from using ShopHERE with the tremendous help of getting your store and items online. It was a wonderful experience!!”
With the help of the ShopHERE Program, Maria has digitally transformed her business and launched a fully functioning eCommerce website. She does acknowledge there are still challenges ahead; learning the ropes and expanding on social media will be the next goal for the business owner. She is also working to increase the business’s presence and following, to generate more sales through her new store.
Maria signed up for Shopify in March when the pandemic began, seeing these unprecedented times as an opportunity to enter into the eCommerce world with her new business venture. Maria began the process of building her Shopify store by attending online seminars and workshops where she came across the ShopHERE Program. She then applied to the program to receive professional assistance to get her Shopify store up and running quickly.
“The ShopHERE Program has been phenomenal for me. I had signed up for Shopify when the pandemic first hit in March and was beginning to create my website. I left it for a while and was attending many workshops online and discovered this wonderful program.”
For The Queen Beeswax, Maria says that the ShopHERE Program has been a positive experience allowing her to build her business, now giving her the opportunity to sell all over Canada and the United States. It has also provided her with the tools and training she needs to continue to be successful.
“Having an expert help me design and execute my website was a dramatic help. I don't have much experience with designing websites, so the learning curve would have been really huge for me. I am very grateful for the help and direction provided.”
