Digital Main Street Helps Gonzalez Food Inc. Bring Sauces Online

by Communitech   |   March 31, 2021   |   Share this:

Gonzalez Food Inc. started with a food truck and a dream. Jorge Gonzalez immigrated to Canada 26 years ago from Venezuela. He later started his food truck business after selling his mobile home and purchasing a truck that he converted into a food truck, with just a bag of tortillas and fifty dollars, Gonzalez Authentic Latin Foods was opened.

As the years went on Gonzalez Food Inc. expanded and started participating in Ribfests across Ontario. Those events gained Jorge a large following from loyal customers. When COVID-19 hit and Ribfest wasn’t able to have its usual turn out, Jorge needed a place for his customers to shop his award winning sauces, seasonings, merchandise and other Latin treats he sells at local markets in London, Ontario.

Gonzalez Food Inc. made the switch to Shopify to launch his e-commerce store. While working with Digital Main Street’s Future Proof program, Jorge was able to gain valuable education about shipping his products, as well as the digital marketing tools he can use to further enhance his online presence and reach new customers.

The Future Proof team helped Gonzalez Food Inc. update its social media channels with new content, a brand style guide and a complete revamp of the website. The changes have helped build a solid foundation that will help Jorge’s business improve its reach, attract new customers and increase sales.
