Victoria Grant has been a practitioner of energy healing since 2016, and a proud student at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, based in Toronto, Ontario. In addition to being an energy work practitioner, Grant also offers private tarot and oracle consultations. Knowing the value that energy healing brought to her life after experiencing a major tragedy, Grant founded FreQueency Healing in 2020 with the goal of sharing:

“The natural beauty of energy healing as a complimentary, holistic method and tool to heal yourself plus shift into a frequency of mind-body-spirit-energy wellness.”

However, Grant struggled with taking her work online. Getting FreQueency Healing’s website up and running was a major goal for Grant.

“The process of getting my online store set up was challenging due to external challenges and life. That being said, every person I worked with at the ShopHERE program was super supportive and committed to ensuring that I achieved what was a major milestone for myself and my business and get the site up and running.”

Grant joined the ShopHERE powered by Google program with the goal of building an online store to open her work to the world. What she found while with her e-Commerce Coordinator is that the work at ShopHERE is more holistic:

“For myself, the ShopHERE Program was so much more than just building out a store. I was supported throughout the process and the challenges. I received encouragement and an instillment of confidence in me. The ShopHERE Program not only helped me build out my online store but also helped me truly believe and see that I can do this.”

Especially important to Grant was how her e-Commerce Coordinator was an empathetic partner in the development of her online presence. Grant explains that her e-Commerce Coordinator took the time to understand her opinions and worked with her to create a website that stayed true to Grant’s vision as well as e-Commerce best practices:

“The store was built to my satisfaction, and I am super pleased with the results. Each person I worked with listened to what I wanted. It was truly a collaborative experience. The e-commerce coordinator helped to expedite a process that for me seemed to take some time. She worked very quickly, respected my opinions and my decisions while also providing valuable feedback[…] I had some challenges in the beginning and the process had some pauses but working with [the e-Commerce coordinator] I was able to get my site up and running to my satisfaction pretty quickly after experiencing some personal setbacks.”

Beyond executing the vision for the website and all of its parts, Grant appreciated the time and training that was given to her to ensure that she felt confident in managing her website moving forward. Her e-Commerce Coordinator spent the time showcasing the different platform functionalities and how to adjust these in the future.

“On a scale from 1 – 5, my confidence level is at a 4. I'm at a 4 because I am thankful for the training I received on how to manage my online store post-graduation. I was encouraged to go into the store and play around in the back end, get myself familiar and I was also encouraged to ask questions. Resources were sent and given to me to help me manage my online store going forward. I feel pretty confident that I will be able to manage by myself.”

The impact of the ShopHERE program on Grant was invaluable.  While she is still working on expanding her clientele through her new website, she values the expertise and support she received throughout her time in the ShopHERE program.

“I [had] the wonderful experience with working with e-commerce coordinators who not only helped to build a store for me but also offered me support, encouragement, they helped to instill confidence in me, they were sensitive to my needs. I felt supported throughout the process and in the end the product came out absolutely beautiful […]ShopHERE has been a blessing for me and FreQueency.”

Grant encourages other small businesses to experience the ShopHERE program for its ability to not only build out a functional website, but also to provide support and resources – all at no expense to the business owner themselves.

“You really can't beat free – not in this economy. But apart from the service being free – other businesses should use ShopHERE to minimize that expense. The work is quality especially if you as the business owner also put in the effort […] Businesses should use ShopHERE if they're looking to have a store and website built while also receiving support, tools and resources to help set them up for success.”
