Adapting To Provide Insurance Coverage Online
Insurance Toronto gives you peace of mind by providing exceptional protection for you and your loved ones. Operating for over 20 years, Gerry Avram and his team provide affordable insurance from top carriers.
Gerry founded Insurance Toronto in 1999 with one main goal; to ensure that everyone has the chance at affordable insurance with adequate coverage. Leading the company to take a customer centric approach, Gerry made it his mission to ensure that each individual gets a thorough Coverage Needs Analysis. This means that every client gets services such as: marriage, home mortgage, and car finances to name a few, taken into consideration. No matter what the needs are, everyone leaves with the best quote for their coverage.
Typically done in person, Gerry had a curve ball thrown at him when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred. The constantly evolving field of insurance was completely disrupted by the pandemic. “Any business that was done in person shifted towards the phone or online meetings. This changed how services are provided, and created a greater need for it to be online. The ShopHERE Program helped with the digital transformation of Insurance Toronto by creating a site for clients to safely obtain quotes and policies from.”
The ShopHERE Program ensures that each business is paired with an expert e-commerce coordinator to assist with the building of the site through every stage.
“[My coordinator] was great in developing my website for me and walked me through every step of the way to ensure I understood how it worked.”
With the help of the ShopHERE Program, Insurance Toronto gained an online platform to continue providing coverage to those who need insurance. The ShopHERE Program allows businesses to adapt to the ever changing work environment. “The earlier a business is able to create an online presence for themselves, the better they will be able to adapt and successfully transition into the online marketplace.”
Digital Main Street was created by the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) with direct support from the City of Toronto. DMS is also supported by a group of strategic business partners, including Google, Mastercard, Shopify, Microsoft, Facebook, Intuit QuickBooks, Square, Yellow Pages and Lightspeed.
A $42.5-million investment from FedDev Ontario brought together the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas, Communitech, Invest Ottawa and the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association to expand the Digital Main Street Platform in order to support more businesses going digital as a response to the impacts of COVID-19 in Southern Ontario.
